At Alicia Pet Care Center, we understand that urgent health issues with your beloved pets can arise unexpectedly. To address these critical needs as a busy animal hospital, we have implemented a same day appointment allotment.

Dedicated appointments

Every day, each of our veterinarians have an open appointment spot in the morning and afternoon, so we can fit in pets who need same day assistance.

What Is “Urgent?”

Urgent appointments need to be seen same day, but are not immediately life threatening. Example: if your dog just got hit by a car, we recommend taking them to an emergency vet.

However, if your pet is experiencing bloody stool, we recommend getting them seen here for a same day appointment!  Here are a few more “urgent” case examples:

    • Blood in Stool
    • Continuous Vomiting
    • Painful Ear Infection
    • Straining Cat
    • Bit by Another Animal
    • Distended Abdomen
    • Anything with the eyes
    • Labored Breathing
    • Seizure

Balancing Urgent and Regular Appointments

Our reception team begins answer calls at 7 am, and our doctors arrive at 8:30 am. If you have need a same day appointment, we recommend calling as early as you can to secure your appointment time.

Our Commitment to Your Pet’s Health

Implementing this same day appointment system is part of our commitment to being nimble and thoughtful with our scheduling. It allows us to see our sick patients promptly without compromising the quality of care for our previously scheduled appointments.

Our team is here to provide compassionate, efficient care when your pet needs it the most.

Our office number is 949-768-1313 if you would look to book an appointment with us and we are located in Mission Viejo, CA and are conveniently open Monday through Friday, 7am – 7pm, and Saturdays 7am – 3pm. If you have more questions, please email us at aliciapetcare@gmail.com.
